Cops don’t buy suspects’ yama-use rationalising

It might be a new year, but police got the same old excuse when they arrested four men in Phnom Penh’s Sen Sok district on Saturday for possessing drugs.

The men were searched by officers after being spotted acting suspiciously. Found with two small packets of yama, the men reportedly confessed to taking drugs after work but insisted they didn’t cause any problems.

Unmoved, officers sent them to court and confiscated three mobile phones and a motorbike. NOKORWAT
