Cop’s gift leaves B’bang motodop in the lurch

If you've ever been given an inappropriate gift, you might have sympathy for a motodop driver, 42, arrested on Tuesday for keeping a rifle at home.

Villagers in Battambang’s Phnom Prek district raised the alarm when they saw the man with the gun, and police searched his home and discovered the weapon but no bullets.

The man said he had been given the rifle by a border police officer, but had not used it to do harm. Cops are contacting border police before sending the man to court.
