Cops make merit with arrest of bad Buddhist

A blasphemous burglar attempted to steal a cash box of donations from a pagoda in Kampong Thom on Sunday.

With the Pchum Ben holiday ramping up, donations are rolling in from Cambodians to monks in honour of their ancestors.

However, the sacrilegious swindler decided he was more deserving of these donations – ancestors be damned.

But the crook proved to be as bad a thief as he was a Buddhist. He was spotted by more pious temple-goers and quickly arrested by police.
