Cops quench thirst for justice in drink cart theft

A capital thief figured his getaway would be a cinch after robbing a street vendor, but was thwarted yesterday.

The owner of the Chamkarmon district drink cart was busy talking to a customer when the suspect pulled up.

Hoping to sell a beverage, the eager owner rushed back only to find the thief rifling through his drawers to steal his cell phone.

The robber’s success was short-lived though, as the vendor’s calls for help were answered by nearby cops who caught the cruising culprit, took him in for questioning and returned the device to its owner.
