Couple’s brand-new hot rod goes up in flames

The pride a capital couple felt in driving home in a brand-new car proved short-lived indeed on Wednesday.

Police said that after parking their new ride in front of their Por Sen Chey district home, the couple went in for a rest.

A few hours later they were awakened by shouts of “fire” from their neighbours. Thinking it was a house fire, they raced outside, only to see their new purchase going up in flames.

Police have determined that perhaps someone was unhappy with the victims. KAMPUCHEA THMEY
