Courtship curtailed by timber-wielding terrors

A pair of lovers were attacked by a mini-motorbike gang who beat them with a stick in an attempt to rob the happy couple.

The pair were riding their moto along street 182 in Phnom Penh’s Tuol Kork district when four men rode up behind them and started whacking them with a piece of wood.

The boyfriend and girlfriend sped away towards a group of people to ask for their help. The gang, realising they had been beaten, threw down their makeshift weapon and fled.
