Credit top-up perfect opportunity for theft

In a somewhat ironic twist of fate, a Poipet town woman’s phone was snatched from her hand just as she was taking it out to top up the credit on Tuesday.

Police said the victim had parked to get some phone credit when three men on a motorbike grabbed her iPhone 5 and fled.

The woman, who couldn’t appeal to Siri for help, instead shouted in the direction of the men.

Traffic police heard the damsel in distress and took off, arresting the three robbers. They have since been sent to court.
