Criminals play lottery with freedom and lose

Six people found their number was up on Wednesday when police raided the Russei Keo district home where they were engaged in an illegal lottery.

After neighbours complained about a steady stream of lottery players going in and out, police hit the illegal numbers racket in force, causing a mad scramble.

The six finally nabbed represented just a portion of those in the house, with some jumping from a first-storey window to escape. DEUM AMPIL
