Daylight break-in sees thief’s lights knocked out

An indiscreet burglary attempt cost a 20-year-old thief dearly in Phnom Penh’s Chamkarmon district on Tuesday.

The suspect attempted to break into the house of a phone shop owner in broad daylight, but was caught when four neighbors intervened.

Not content to wait for the authorities, the impromptu neighbourhood watch commenced to pounding the brazen thief into oblivion, leaving him with hospital-worthy injuries by the time cops arrived. Koh santepheap
