Denied money, junkie sets fire to sister’s home

A 20-year-old Sihanoukville junkie disappeared in a puff of smoke on Wednesday after his sister refused to give him cash to feed his habit.

After his sister denied his request, she phoned the police to have him arrested.

Denied drugs and potentially his freedom, the young man made his feelings clear by setting fire to his sister’s house, burning the wooden structure – and its contents – to the ground before fleeing.

Police are now on the lookout.
