Dodgy wiring in Tuol Kork blamed for blaze

A wooden house owned by a vendor in Tuol Kork’s Boeung Salang commune was badly damaged in a blaze yesterday, scorching two rooms in a neighbouring property.

Firefighters and police managed to make short work of the conflagration, with a little help from from five trucks of water, and within half an hour the inferno was snuffed.

The outbreak of the blaze is believed to be the result of an electrical short-circuit.
