Driver confesses to aiding in theft of truck

A truck driver was arrested in Kandal on Saturday after his truck and the goods he was supposed to be delivering went missing on Friday.

The following day, the driver said that two gunmen threatened to kill him unless he gave up the truck.

The dubious factory owner dragged the trucker to the police for questioning, where the driver’s story changed.

Called out on the inconsistencies, he finally admitted that his friends wanted him to steal the truck for $2,000. Police arrested the accomplices shortly after.
