Driver gets too fast and furious in quiet Kampot

A 21-year-old Sihanoukville resident landed in Kampot police custody after leading cops from his home town on an impromptu road trip in a stolen car.

After purloining the motor of a 31-year-old chef from Sihanoukville on Monday, the perp staged a one-man tribute to Thelma & Louise, with police from Kampot soon joining their Sihanoukville colleagues in dogged pursuit.

The speedster’s luck ran out in Kampot, where he was arrested and the car impounded.
