Drug dealer’s flight from cops short-lived

A man seen lurking in the shadows of a street in Phnom Penh’s Meanchey district early yesterday turned out to be dealing drugs, police said.

Patrolling officers spotted the man alone, and when they tried to approach him with a torch, he fled. Police gave chase and soon apprehended him.

A search revealed that the man, 29, was carrying drugs. Considering it futile to deny the obvious, the man confessed that he had been waiting for a customer. DEUM AMPIL
