Drunk, deadbeat dad detained after rager

A 35-year-old woman in Kandal province’s Kien Svay district took a stand against her abusive husband on Monday.

Police said the drunken lout – who had a history of both verbal and physical abuse – had arrived home after yet another night of boozing and threw a drunken tantrum, smashing up the house and throwing out his wife and children, telling them to find another place to sleep that night.

Fed up, the woman filed a complaint to police, who hauled him away.
