Drunk driver injures three, flees the scene

Police suspect a man drunk from a Chinese New Year party is responsible for a hit-and-run that seriously injured two brothers, 41 and 36, and their six-year-old nephew and son in Poipet on Friday.

The driver, speeding through an intersection in an SUV, crashed into a motorbike carrying the three victims. Rather than stopping to inspect the damage – broken legs and head injuries – the driver floored it.

Down the road, he stopped the car, covered it with a cloth and fled. He remains on the lam. NOKORWAT
