Drunk’s ire kindled by a loss of kindling

An unwelcome dinner guest just released from prison looks to be heading back sooner than he perhaps anticipated in Kandal province.

Inebriated, he gatecrashed the meal of three women on Sunday, who were tucking in to dessert, and drunkenly accused them of stealing his wood.

One victim’s temerity to ask for evidence prompted the ruffian to produce a knife and lunge at the women.

Luckily, however, a witness intervened, and the ex-con was arrested.
