Two wannabe bag snatchers escaped a mob beating but chalked up the loss of a motorbike yesterday in Phnom Penh’s Chamkarmon district.

Attempting to rip off a commuter riding in a tuk-tuk, the pair couldn’t properly grab the purse and wiped out in the process.

A companion on another scooter came up to help them flee the scene, and when authorities arrived their mangled moped was impounded at the station.
