An alleged thief must have thought Christmas had come again on Saturday when he found an unlocked motorbike with keys in the ignition in Banteay Meanchey’s Thma Puok district.

However, the 31 year old should have remembered the adage “if it’s too good to be true, it probably is”.

Villagers in Poipet certainly did, calling police when the suspect tried to sell the bike for a bargain price without any plates or documents. Police arrested the man, who reportedly confessed, and called for the owner of the bike to pick it up. KOH SANTEPHEAP
