Battambang police were shocked on Tuesday to find a gang of amoral anglers using illegal electric devices to catch fish in Rokha Kiri district.

The bust was made on Tuesday night while the group was using battery power to stun their catch.

Seven lamps, seven batteries and seven electric fishing devices were confiscated, but after a brief round of “education” and signing a contract promising to use more traditional methods, the fishermen were sent on their way.
