Proving that fraud isn’t just a young man’s game, a 60-year-old Kandal woman was arrested on Saturday for allegedly scamming an informal lending group out of 9 million riel ($2,200).

Police say the woman had collected the sum over two years from her Lomhach commune tong tin before disappearing.

When she turned up later, however, cops were called and came to make the arrest and hauled the sexagenarian swindler to the station.
