Even a light drug load carries a heavy charge

A 41-year-old man sustained an injury to his ear in Banteay Meanchey’s Poipet town on Monday after offending the ears of a slumbering 25-year-old.

The quarrelsome man decided to court trouble by kicking the door of his sleeping nemesis as he passed by, incurring his wrath.

The awakened party invited the victim into his house, only to attack him with a knife and slice at his ear.

The belligerent was arrested by the police and will be charged with intentional violence.
