Familiar face returns, is thrown in the slammer

A Kampong Chhnang man will have plenty of time to study up on the Kingdom’s statute of limitations for assault after his arrest on Tuesday.

Police said the man had been wanted for drunkenly beating a fellow villager with a stick last March.

He then fled and stayed out of the province for more than a year, only returning when he surmised the court case had been dropped. Alas, no. He’ll face a judge soon. KOH SANTEPHEAP
