A family from Preah Vihear holidaying in Koh Kong learned a harsh lesson about protecting their valuables on Saturday.
Police said the family had gone into a local restaurant to eat, but left their vacation cash in their car, which was unlocked.
After enjoying their meal, they returned to the car to find the bag with their vacation money – $1,000 – gone. A complaint was filed with the local constabulary, who were less than sympathetic, helpfully suggesting that leaving the money in the car was careless at best. KOH SANTEPHEAP
