Farmer returns home to unwanted surprise

A Pailin farmer learned a costly lesson in the benefits of banking after a Monday robbery left him busted. Police said the victim had left the house to tend to his crops.

Returning later in the day, the sight of an open door left him with a sinking feeling, one quickly borne out by the sight of his home’s ransacked interior.

Gone was his jewellery along with some $5,000 in cash. Police are searching for the burglars. KOH SANTEPHEAP
