Feathers, punters fly as cops bust up cockfight

Siem Reap town police busted an illegal cockfighting operation on Wednesday but had little to crow about afterward.

Responding to noise complaints from neighbours, police raided a home crammed to capacity with punters enjoying Cambodia’s favourite bloodsport.

Unfortunately, the crowd evaporated as fast as it had materialised at the sight of police, leaving them with a paltry arrest tally of just four.
