Forgotten phone leads to unforgettable beating

After enjoying a quiet meal of Chinese noodles at a roadside restaurant in Phnom Penh’s Sen Sok district on Sunday, one unfortunate punter made a near-fatal mistake.

Realising he’d left his phone on the table, the 24-year-old rushed back to the diner to grab it. Four waiters, not recognising the man, set upon him and severely beat him.

The four waiters escaped and the injured man was sent to hospital. KOH SANTEPHEAP
