Gaming nerddom took a dark turn on Monday as a trio of suspects came out from behind their computer screens to inflict some real-life mayhem.
Police said the three men had been nursing a grudge from a trash-talking round of online action at a local computer gaming hangout for a week when they decided to settle the matter with “samurai swords”.
The incident saw the three attack two unsuspecting students, inflicting injuries on their backs and heads.
The mayhem resulted in calls to police from passersby, and all three were cuffed.
