A brave garment worker survived an armed robbery attempt on Wednesday by briefly disarming the suspect and calling for help, according to police.

The woman, 24, was walking to her apartment in Por Sen Chey district when she was approached by an older woman, 34, who pointed a knife at her neck and demanded her jewellery.

The worker pushed the knife away and began shouting. Her neighbours intervened and the suspect was detained later that night. NOKORWAT
