A 17-year-old thief in Sihanoukville was caught out by an incriminatingly expensive new phone on Tuesday, landing him in the local police office.
A 33-year-old reported to his village chief that some items were missing from his house, including $2,000, and he’d spotted the 17-year-old skulking out of it.
The youth was summoned by the chief and searched. Sure enough, what should be on his possession but a shiny new phone and a wad of cash. Police are now questioning the youth.
