Gov’t HQ no deterent for brazen thieves

A young man was beaten and robbed on Wednesday night on the doorstep of the Council of Ministers headquarters.

The 21-year-old had arrived alone at the ministerial office on his Scoopy moto to meet friends, when four men arrived on motorbikes and accosted him.

The victim was bashed on his head and back with a metal pipe.

The suspects then fled the scene with the victim’s moto, and the victim lodged a complaint to police.
