A lucky mechanic in Svay Rieng’s Svay Chrum district almost flushed $100 down the toilet on Wednesday.

According to police, a customer came in to have his tyre fixed, then asked if he could use the mechanic’s bathroom.

Spying a wad of cash inside, the customer allegedly picked it up, collected his newly repaired moto, and rode off.

When the mechanic noticed the missing money, he raised the alarm, and police arrested the customer.

In retrospect, the mechanic admitted he should have been more suspicious when the customer rushed him to finish fixing his flat. KOH SANTEPHEAP
