Guard rumbles crooks stealing steel beams

A security guard finally had his day in the sun, apprehending four men for allegedly stealing steel beams from a construction site in Phnom Penh’s Chbar Ampov district on Tuesday.

Police said the men were bringing concrete to the site and decided to take the beams to sell for a little extra cash.

The eagle-eyed guard, however, saw the heist and stopped the truck, with police swooping in to make the arrests.

Apparently, steel beams were being stolen from the site right and left, but this was the first time the culprits were caught.
