Handbag returned after cops give chase

A brief chase in Battambang’s Mong Russey district ended in the safe return of a woman’s snatched handbag on Monday.

Police said the alleged thief had ridden up behind the woman as she was driving her motorbike, knocking her to the ground.

While she was down, he removed the key to her moto, grabbed her bag and took off. Nearby cops, however, heard cries for help, chased the now-jailed man down and returned the bag to its rightful owner.
