Her boyfriend’s back, but she’s gonna be in trouble

A desperate bid for her lover’s attention saw a woman arrested in Phnom Penh’s Chamkarmon district on Tuesday.

Police said the woman fabricated a story to police about her motorbike being stolen.

Once police discovered no crime had occurred, however, they brought the young lady in for questioning.

She reportedly confessed to making up the yarn, telling police she had reported the bike stolen in an effort to persuade her boyfriend – a habitual club-goer – not to leave her alone at night.
