A machete-wielding highway robber failed to make his getaway after running out of gas on Tuesday.
Police said the suspect was waiting at a secluded road in Battambang’s Samlot district when a 23-year-old man rode his motorbike down the road.
The suspect jumped out, barring the way and hacking at the driver’s shoulder with the knife. The suspect made off on the victim’s bike, but ran out of gas shortly thereafter.
The suspect concealed the bike in the forest and went to the village to buy fuel the next day, only to be arrested instead. Nokorwat
