Hit-and-run suspect sought after collision

A speeding motorist cost a moto driver his left leg in a road accident in Battambang’s Phnom Proek district yesterday.

Police said the driver of the car had sped up to pass a truck loaded with cassava but found himself unable to get around.

Stuck in the wrong lane, the car ploughed into the motorbike before running off the road and overturning. The driver, however, was only slightly injured and managed to flee the scene.
