Home invasion sparks neighbourly beatdown

A garment worker in Phnom Penh’s Por Sen Chey district received something of a shock late on Saturday night after she found an unwanted gentleman lurking in her bedroom.

Startled by her presence, the mystery man fled, only to be pursued by the woman and an angry mob.

After a brief beating, police took the man to the station, where he confessed to burglary with a more competent accomplice who managed to slip by both the victim and the braying mob.
