Homophobia triggers chaos on motorway

Two bands of students from Kandal’s Ang Snuol district got into a mass motorised melee over an insult on Monday.

Witnesses said both groups were loitering near a market when one teen called another “gay” and threatened to knock him on the head.

The situation heated up until both groups mounted their motorbikes and went at each other with bamboo sticks on National Road 4. Witnesses called the cops, who broke up the fight and arrested four of the teenagers.
