A wife's decision to seek employment in Thailand left her husband in such despair that he burned their house down on Saturday in Kampong Chhnang.

Police said the man had threatened to take the extreme action if the wife took the job, leaving him and their 3-year-old daughter alone in Cambodia. Not believing him, she boarded the bus and took off; hours later the house was in flames.
