Impulse phone robbery leads to impulse beating

The opportunistic robbery of a mobile phone left charging in a gas station toilet turned into a beatdown for a 30-year-old man in Phnom Penh’s Por Sen Chey district on Sunday.

Cops said the thief tried to get away with the handset, but was apprehended after the construction worker who’d left it there gave chase. Before handing him over to cops, the builder and a buddy dished out enough knuckle sandwiches that the man was sent to hospital before heading to court. KOH SANTEPHEAP
