The lure of a shopping spree made a 23-year-old woman choose fortune over family in Banteay Meanchey province on the weekend.

The woman borrowed a motorbike from her aunt, a 48-year-old vendor, to visit friends. Rather than return it, however, she succumbed to her consumer instincts, pawned it and headed for the market.
