Jeweller loses a grand to bathroom bandit

A jewellery shop owner, 24, was robbed in Kampong Thom town after allowing a woman to use the restroom in the shop, having forgotten she left a stack of cash in plain sight.

Police say the suspect originally had come in to exchange money and asked to use the facilities.

On her way to the bathroom, the suspect noticed $1,000 left on a table, which she pocketed before fleeing.

The victim realised the consequence of her carelessness and filed a police complaint with a description. Police are on the hunt.
