Jitters get the best of two attempted thieves

Two skittish crooks botched a robbery on Friday when they got stage fright and tried to ditch their scheme.

The 22-year-olds waited on a quiet street in Phnom Penh’s Russei Keo district for a moto to go by, but when a man finally did pass through, he put up a fight, disregarding the suspects’ guns and threats.

A pair of headlights coming down the street interrupted the scuffle and prompted the robbers to take off. Police caught up with the dynamic duo not long after. KOH SANTEPHEAP
