A 32-year-old man was arrested for cutting and injuring a neighbour in Stung Treng town on Friday night, after a bizarre “joke” ended bloodily. Police said the neighbour, 30, was drinking wine with three others when the man approached them with a knife.
The attacker allegedly grabbed the neighbour’s hand and cut it with the knife, before hightailing it at the sight of gushing red. When cops caught up with him he confessed to the attack, saying he meant it as a joke and slashed the man by accident. KOH SANTEPHEAP
