A 32-year-old alleged Kampot phone thief was arrested on Sunday, after her latest victim saw her the next day.
Police say the woman walked into a curtain shop in Phnom Penh’s Por Sen Chey district on Saturday claiming to want to make a purchase for her daughter’s wedding, then asked the owner to borrow a charger.
While he searched, the suspect allegedly took his phone and fled.
Police arrested her when the drape-vendor recognised her the next day. She confessed to selling the phone for $120 as well as robbing several others.
