Keep your friends close and your rentals closer

Beware of the broke and desperate friend. That’s advice a man in Poipet town could have done with before the car he rented last Sunday was pawned by his friend.

The 30-year-old who put his name to the rental form was hauled in by police on Thursday after the owner, 41, complained he had not returned it.

Police said they found that the friend had pawned the car for $5,000. The arrested man was still sent to court. Nokorwat
