Police are investigating whether a man in Kampong Speu province has any known enemies, after he was seriously injured in an axe attack in his home on Monday.

The man, 45, had been staying home alone and was attacked in his sleep, his wife said. She returned at about 8pm to her unconscious husband in a pool of blood and the assault weapon nearby.
