Landlord doubles as guard in Sihanoukville

A conscientious landlord helped police catch a thief after stepping in following a theft at one of his rental units in Sihanoukville.

Police said the man had been on the lookout for the thief since an initial break-in and was Johnny on the spot when the burglar came back looking for more on Wednesday.

Police who arrived after getting the landlord’s call caught the man red-handed with a mobile phone and cash. He confessed, but pleading that poverty had given him no choice.
