Light-fingered suspect feels heavy hand of mob

A 29-year-old pickpocket struck out and faced a maddened crowd on Saturday. While a victim was looking at a vendor’s wares at a Kratie town market, the thief unloaded $150 from his pockets.

The victim felt unpleasantly lighter and shouted for help. Market security, the vendor and nearby shoppers all beat the thief and reclaimed the money for the lucky victim.

Police made a stop at the hospital before taking the not-so-lucky suspect to the police station. DEUM AMPIL
